Bout of Books 11+Progress

Bout of Books

OMG Booklovers!
It’s almost time to get our readathon on again! I didn’t do very well in my first #booktubeathon this month so I really wanna give my all for Bout of Books.

The Bout of Books read-a-thon is organized by Amanda @ On a Book Bender and Kelly @ Reading the Paranormal. It is a week long read-a-thon that begins 12:01am Monday, August 18th and runs through Sunday, August 24th in whatever time zone you are in. Bout of Books is low-pressure, and the only reading competition is between you and your usual number of books read in a week. There are challenges, giveaways, and a grand prize, but all of these are completely optional. For all Bout of Books 11 information and updates, be sure to visit the Bout of Books blog. – From the Bout of Books team

It sounds awesome right? So if ya wanna join, Go sign up RIGHT NOW! no pressure…

1 August – Evening Update

I’ve signed up & visited 5 blogs who had signed up just before me. Already giving people motivation & just being social. It’s not all about the reading…

POTENTIAL TBR

  1. Frostbite (Vampire Academy #2) read 13 Aug
  2. Blood Promise (Vampire Academy #4)
  3. Pivot Point
  4. Forgive Me, Leonard Peacock
  5. The DUFF
  6. Harrow by Amanda Troyer

GOALS

  • I want to read 5 books. I will aim for 2 books in the weekend so that leaves me with 3 books throughout the week. That’s gotta be achievable?
  • I want to spend at least 30 mins everyday on twitter & catching up with #boutofbooks
  • I want to complete all of the reading challenges.
  • I’ve gotta try & convince the hubby to cook every day this week 🙂
  • I hope to get 8 hours of sleep each day… depends on the book! You know what I mean! When its good, I won’t put it down.
  • To post my daily progress here too.

I might even do a Booktube video… who knows? This is gonna be so fun! WISH ME LUCK!

  1. Gaah wish I could be reading Vampire Academy too!! A few years ago when some friends recommended it to me, I was like ehhh… kind of put off by the cover… And then suddenly EVERYONE around me has read VA and loved it so there must be something done right in this series 😀

It’s okay if life gets quite busy, I didn’t get as much reading done as I would like but oh well, just enjoy! :))

  2. I see you have pivot point by Kasey West on your TBR! I LOVED her ‘distance between us’ SUCH a cute read!!! It is one of my favorites! I hope that one doesn’t disappoint you!.I haven’t set up my TBR yet… I’m not very good at following it. ha ha!!!

  3. You have some great books to pick from! I agree that this is great chance to meet new people and socialize. I will try to spend some time on twitter too. As long I don’t get stuck behind the computer, that happens all too often! Good luck, Sharlene!

  4. I’m noticing how many people have much more realistic goal that I have. 😀 I like the goal of having hubby cook, I might have to ask for that too 😉 Good luck

      1. Yep! should be a good way to share my views of your book as I read 🙂 I love the cover. Can’t wait to start. My hubby is an Anglican priest so I will show it to him too.

Go on! Share your secrets with me.
