Swoon Worthy Saturday #4

SWSSaturday is a day for swooning. Swoon Worthy Saturday, hosted by staybookish, is a weekly meme where in we present a fictional boy who has swept us off our feet, given us butterflies, made our heart do acrobatics and driven us absolutely crazy!

Without further ado, this week’s #SWS goes to:

» The Gist

You can read all about Dimitri in the Vampire Academy series by Richelle Mead. I’ve only read the first book but this is what I can tell you so far. He is a 24 year old vampire Guardian. That’s the perfect age for a school crush. Tall, super fast, super strong. Shoulder-length brown hair. Dark eyes. Dark eyebrows. Low voice, with a Russian accent and words spoken as gentle as silk. Gripping hands. Muscular body. He’s a trained warrior and sworn to protect Moroi, the vampire royalty.

» Swoon Worthy Moments

Rose, a student training with Dimitri to become a guardian, is in a room making out with a guy named Jesse. You see a hint of Dimitri’s affection for Rose here:

“What I was not ready for was Dimitri.
He burst in the door like he’d expected to find us, and in that horrible moment, with him raging like a storm, I knew why Mason had called him a god. In the blink of an eye, he crossed the room and jerked Jesse up by his shirt, nearly holding the Moroi off the ground.”

But the best scene in this entire book starts off with:

“Releasing my wrists, he moved his hands up my arms, sliding slowly along my skin. Holding me in his dark, hungry gaze, he pulled me to him, pressing me right up to his body.
One of his hands moved up the back of my neck, twining his fingers in my hair and tipping my face up to his. He brought his lips down, barely brushing them against mine.”

Shadow Kissed have a character bio on Dimitri. Make sure to go check it out too: http://www.shadowkissed.net/character-bios/dimitri-belikov/

» Celebrity Dreamcast!

Lesbi-honest, some celebrities just can’t match the image we have in our head. It’s hard to think of celebrities when someone has already been cast in the movies!

Jonathan Rhys Meyers has the looks for Dimitri, maybe needs to be a little buffer & longer hair and doesn’t have the right accent.
