2Wishlist Wednesday, hosted by Pen To Paper, is a book blog hop where we post about one book that is on our wishlist that we can’t wait to get on our bookshelf!

Kia ora everyone. This week I’m wishing for…

Title: Winter
Series: The Lunar Chronicles
Genre: Young Adult, Paranormal, Utopian?
Publisher: Penguin Books Ltd (I’m not 100% on that)
Release Date: 12 November 2015
Length: 352 pages (pbk)

» Book Blurb

Princess Winter is admired by the Lunar people for her grace and kindness, and despite the scars that mar her face, her beauty is said to be even more breathtaking than that of her stepmother, Queen Levana.

Winter despises her stepmother, and knows Levana won’t approve of her feelings for her childhood friend–the handsome palace guard, Jacin. But Winter isn’t as weak as Levana believes her to be and she’s been undermining her stepmother’s wishes for years. Together with the cyborg mechanic, Cinder, and her allies, Winter might even have the power to launch a revolution and win a war that’s been raging for far too long.

Can Cinder, Scarlet, Cress, and Winter defeat Levana and find their happily ever afters?

» Why is it on my Wishlist?

I’ve read the books leading up to this moment, except for the novellas. Those are on my wishlist too. I really want to say “IT JUST IS” but I know you might want more reason than that.

What can I say? I’m fangirling hard on the Lunar Chronicles series. If you haven’t picked up this series, uh, where have you been? Jokes. It’s not too late to jump on this bandwagon. Binge in time for Winter’s release. Each book is Amaze-Balls.

Winter combines the favourite characters of the prior books and brings them all together for, what I’m hoping to be, an epic battle against the evil Queen (and in Winter’s case, Stepmother). I’m guessing this is Princess Winter’s cinderella story. By reading the blurb, I’m not quite sure which fairytale this is a retelling of. If you know, please enlighten me in the Comments.

All I can say is thank you Game of Thrones for this lovely phrase:

Anyone who likes a good fairy-tale retelling. The Lunar Chronicles has a futuristic twist with its andriods, cyborgs and a little space-like travel.
